rod tree question

Hi, You guys use the trees for the just the inline boards?

I stowe my net from time to time in the vertical tube, or the main of the tree. You can use these trees for big boards too.

Here is a pic I hope it helps. My trees are connected to the gunwales and the hard top. By pulling a SS detent pin they pivot towards the back for travel. They are made with 7/8 inch SS tubing and 2 inch SS tube. The brackets are constructed from 1 inch SS tubing. The 7/8 inch tubing fits snugly into the 1 inch tubing allowing it to pivot. I bought some black Titelock end caps to protect the rods and to give them a nice clean look.

It would be nice to have a hard top like that, would make adding trees and launchers a lot easier. On the other hand, I have a walk around cuddy and mounting the tree to the side of the cabin would mean the poles would be blocking the walk way in use.
