today i remembered why i fish the river during the week my buddey came up he ended the moring with 2 female browns and 2 female cohos me skunked thats what hapennens when you tell them where to fish its was fun till morn then it got crazy was out by 830am does any one use circle hooks for salmon and steel with skien have been tring it and missing alot of fish whats the best way to hook the fish tried just tighting down on them dont seem to hook good enough tried setting the hook a little not much different tring to get less swaloaded hooks any info would help thanks

I really appreciate your posts. I've been pier fishing everyday for the last 2 weeks and haven't caught anything otherwise i'd posting too. Now, I have caught logs, fur from dead animals, chain link fences and a windsock. I am not sure those count as catching anything. One of these days its gonna be a fish!

the steelhead should show up at the piers pretty soon i would think got some good rain coming tonight that should help

With skain I use treble hooks and do well. I use circle for steel usein spawn bags. With circle hooks I know u don't want to set the hook. U will just miss them. Just make pressure and they will set the hook for you.
