jimbobber Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 WENT TO 190 FOW SET LINES AND TROLLED OUT TO 245 WITHOUT A HIT:confused: GOT A TIP FROM A GUY TO GO NORTH AND HIT A SCUM LINE IN 238 ,HEADED THAT WAY AND HOOKED TWO FISH BUT LOST THEM ON 300 COPPER WITH GREEN SPINIE WITH A PICKLE SUNSHINE FLIE THEY WERE LAKERS I THINK. GOT TO THE SCUM LINE BUT COULD NOT GET ANYTHING THERE EITHER SO WE TURNED IT EAST, HIT 185 FOW AND STARTED TO MARK BAIT AND BANG HIT TWO SMALL KINGS 5 AND 8 LBS ON FREE SLIDER WITH A NBK JP SLAMMER ON A RIGGER DOWN 55. THEN PULLED LINES AND FOUND A SMALL HITCH HIKER KING ON A 3 COLOR OF LEAD SO WE ENDED UP 3 FOR 5 ON THE NIGHT. THE TOP WATER WARMED UP 20 DEG UP TO 66 DEG FROM SAT 46 DEG. BUT THE WATER DOWN 50 WAS STILL 48 DEG. IT WAS A BEUTIFUL EVENING TO BE ON THE WATER.
Twill23 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Hey Jimmy,we had 59 degrees down 85 in 105 fow. Lastnight, tons of bait and tons of trout on the bottom, just no takers. Thought you'd like to know, there must be a helluva temp break between where u were and where we were.
Just Hook'n Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 WOW, that temp came shooting up that much. Nice work getting a few to cooperate. Do you guys think that most of them ran in that cold water?I'm seriously considering pulling early and getting ready for deer season.
BenLubbs Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Saturday we had a 6 degree break in 195. I don't deer hunt so I guess I'm going to be chasing fish until November.
