Fire Escape Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Everyone bailed out on fishing today so i decided to go it alone. First time since we got the bigger boat. Not sure if it was more fun or frustrating. OK, More fun since i pulled a limit.Started out front in 50' water but it was dead so i headed out. At 110 i hit a double and landed 1 on a 150 copper w/a Flounder Pounder. Stayed in 110 to 125 North of the channel and filled up going i think 5 - 12.Rigger 60 down W/ a Magnum blue Dolphin and the copper took almost all the hits.Had 3 doubles this morning. I'm getting to old for that much fun. Or work, I'm still not sure,
numberguy77 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Fire Escape,To me, working on a double out solo beats work any day! (Even though it can be challenging.)Thanks for the report. Planning on heading out in the AM.
Make it Count Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Awesome job jim Wait to go on the limit we are going to sunday hopefully the fish will still be there
JWheeler Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I can't stand people that bail, or change their minds late in the planning stages. It's hard to get a call back from me after that, disrespectful from where I'm sitting.Heckuva job on kicking some tail anyways and getting your fish. I'm sure it was fun with a 1 man fire drill. Nice job:thumb:
SUPERTRAMP Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Nice job Jim its a hoot when u double up solo.

stillfish Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 How was the surface temps out their, i went with my Dad in the pm fri. and ran out to 115ft, it sure was cooled out their, we were straight out west of the channel. I guess i need a temp probe:thumb:
Fire Escape Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 44.8 deg surface temp.I Don't have a probe either. I don't fish my boat enough to justify it yet.Unless gas comes down i probably never will.
