mprobstf Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Anything going on in Frankfort, or are all the fish in the river?
toby Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I see Hammerhead charter (on his site) posted recently, the tackle shop up there might be able to help, I'm looking at next week, if I find anything I will let you know.
zzbx14 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 As of 9/11, the kings have mostly gone up the Betsie, say at least 75%. The coho are starting to go up the Platte, but still out there. We went 3/3 saturday evening and again sunday morning in a couple hundred feet of water off of betsie point and the bank. Mostly coho, but some kings, all pretty good size from 10 to 15 pounds off of 5 to 8 color leadcore with uv ice meat rigs. I don't have copper, but others were successful with that.
Twill23 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I spent a couple of days last week in Frankfort before running to Holland. About 90% of the kings are in the river. Coho fishing was pretty good when you could find the warmer water, which was north past the point. This was right after the huge blow we had that cooled the water to 41 degrees
