DKuiper Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Set lines at 7:45 this morning just outside of the piers and maybe 1/2 mile north. Had been doing well out in 75-125 FOW but there were a million alewife surfacing in the river plume. Ended up 8 for about 12. Stayed in 12' to 30 FOW all day. 4 kings and 4 coho. KIngs went from about 12# to around 15# and all the coho were nice silver fish in the 8-9# range. One king came on a SD/fly both mountain dew down 15' off an outside rigger (ran 3 + 2 wire divers, no hits on the divers). All the rest of the fish came of Js, chrome, chrome red, purple yellow. One was off a rigger and the rest came off in-line boards (ran 3) with the Js about 100' back. River water was 61 degrees and the clear lake water was 46 degrees. Seems like all the bait and big fish were in the river water. Got a bit choppy as the wind picked up after noon. Sounds like the lake may be a bit to rough for me and my crew for tommorrow, and I have a wedding to help prepare for on the weekend, but maybe Monday!Duane
