mprobstf Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 The shelf off the old Barn has been pretty hot -- fish are stacked up in about 100 feet of water and are hitting wobble glows or peanuts behind dodgers. Slow is the name of the game out there. Lots of fish stacked off of Pequaming, no idea what they are and can't get anything to hit no matter what I throw at it. Salmon are moving back into the South Entry - Coho Candy and Rapalas work good -- as well as crawler Harnesses (yes - for Coho) I use the crazy Ivan move -- zig zagging so port speeds up, while starboard slacks up, then vice versa -- catch Salmon on the fast side and Walleye on the slow side -- what a combo.
mprobstf Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 Also, believe it or not -- Portage Lake seems to be holding some Steelhead in the middle of the lake -- running thunder sticks and reef runners off of lead core has been producing Walleye and Steelhead -- lots of fish on the graph towards the bottom in the deeper holes.
