joeltammyx7 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I am looking for some advice. I am planning on taking my kids out this weekend to fish. Last year I went to Ludington which was nice because if the waves get big you can fish the bay (my kids get sea sick easy). I am wondering if White Lake is good fishing if I can't get on the big lake. Does anyone know the average depth? Would Whitehall be a good option or should I return to Ludington? Thanks for any input. Joel
Fishmael Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Not Sure about Whitehall, but Muskegon lake will hold some fish for a short while in front of the sand docks-40-50fow, nice deep troff but can get real busy in the channel- fishing Muskegon as well as most ports are smoking hot right now and should be for another week or so.
csikes Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Fishmael would you mind answering for me where exactly are the sand docks? I have heard them before in reference but not sure where they actually are. Thanks
fishsniffer Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 If you're looking west into the channel the sand docks are to your left
