Fishsporttom Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 After a night of fun combat fishing for salmon in port Muskegon we decided to head out in morning to South Haven for perch. One foot waves, clear skys and 71' water temp. Left with 42 nice white bellies, caught in 52 fow out from state park using minnows and shrimp, jumbos comming on the shrimp. This being one of our better trips. The better fishing was late afternoon, left at 5 pm and fish still hitting hard, but the long ride home and still tired from the night before we headed home, to clean fish for second night in a row.
SteamboatJimmy Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 To be honest I have never used shrimp as bait, I always eat it. Is that the same kinda shrimp were talkin about here?

Fishsporttom Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 Yup it is the fresh frozen shrimp (with shell), if shell left on stays on hook for longer period, few shrimps go along way.
