SUPERTRAMP Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 We left the slip and gassed up then headed out to 75 FOW and set lines, we ended the evening 5 for 7 with 2 shakers released and 2 nice fish lost at the back of the boat just came unbuttoned, 300'of 45# copper with fishlander silver frog was good on the copper , lemon ice on 10 color lead core took 2 hits and both were shakers, the best was rigger dn 75 with 11" e chip white glow flasher and blue bubble fly, finally put a meat rig dn on the dipsey and it didn't even get a sniff. Speed was 2.6 SOG and the depths were fm 96 to 110 FOW a little north of the piers. Finished the nite with a gorgeous sunset and 5 in the box. Not bad for 2 old guys just gettin around.

SUPERTRAMP Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Thanks for the info I am planning a Friday PM trip and was wondering how it was shaping up. What was the best water?96 TO 115 FOW, my biggest question is where are the 3 and 4 year olds, my partner is going out Saturday and we have talked about starting in close around 45 FOW and working out to 75 FOW but who knows? The 2 year olds are out in thet 90 to 120 FOW and they bite.
Spawnwalker Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 You would think that they would be out there staging getting ready to run in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we will get some cooler water down here to help them along. The clock is ticking.....
