Fishsporttom Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Me and my hubby set out of Muskegon with my son Jacob on his boat Fishmael out of Muskegon and set lines in 100 fow just north of pier 6:50pm. Had first hit on rigger 50 down and lost the first big fish of the night at 7:05, blue dolphin. From that point on it was game on. Wire divers in blue was next, and continued to stay hot all night out 130 feet, in the 100 fow. Seven color, lead core, amd copper all did well too. Rigger 50 down produced several fish also. The action was fast, hot, and heavy by 9 pm they had a two man limit with one for mom to boot. Went 11 for 15 by sunset and headed back to port, what a fun night.
Fine Line Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 we also had a good night... wentt 6 for 9 with 2 being 18lbs... broke off on 2 nice ones screaming line... one of them got a planer board and 5 colors of lead. hits came on anything and everything!
Flyboy Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Fish were biting all over. 5 for 7 and as fine line was saying, anything and everything. Thanks for the reports guys.

Nailer Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Sounds like a blast. Welcome to the site Brenda.
Fishmael Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Hey mom your not suppose to tell everyone where the fish are :-) Guys like Flyboy and Fishsniffer are going to catch'em all. Just kidding guys- you keep hammering away at them- Muskegon is starting to turn into a zoo with all the traffic. Fishing has been good though. Time to turn and burn North.
