mrhookup Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Question for you guys again. I see on a lot of boats in the background of pictures spoons hanging under the gunnels on the sides or back of the boat. What are you guys hanging them from? I'd like to add something like this to the underside of my downrigger board to make it faster to get to baits.thanks, mrhookup
ALLEYES Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Make sure you hang them in a place that you won't lean up against and end up wearing some hooks.
NO MO BEGGEN Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 most of the boats ive seen includeing mine are carpeted under the rails. so you just press one barb into the carpet and your good to go. they come out really easy due to the tight woven boat carpet. or ive seen people use a short length of 1/2 x 2 peice of trim wood with a bunch of little holes drilled along the top edge
Fine Line Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Ive got a piece of paneling with styrofoam glued to it....works great.
killerbe20 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Russ on Adrenalin has a real great looking setup. Maybe he will chime in or just PM him.
Line Dancin Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I use the Hook um pads. I added snaps and can hang them on the back of the boat and when i am done fishing they come off with all my spoons and right in the cabin leaving none out.http://www.hook-um.com/lure_products.html
