Adam Bomb Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Just sitting around here bored tonight wishing i was on the west side after the fun weekend we had.I know everyone is all hyped up on glow spoons and for good reason, but once it gets light out, whats your favorite(s) non glow spoon for kings? Always interesting to see the responses.
KJ pluggin Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Stinger blue dolphin or NBK for me. I guess they both have some glow in them but I would consider them a mid-day spoon.
Adam Bomb Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 A couple of my favs and also what i would consider a midday/non glow spoon as well.Spoons like that are precisely what im interested in as opposed to the solid glows and super glows.
DarkBlue Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 First ones that came to mind were caramel dolphin the NBK. Both have put a lot of fish in the box over the years. Chris
ALLEYES Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Yeck Lemon Ice. Silverstreak Pink Alewife. But as you know I run my Moonshines in the day and catch fish also.
Killin' It Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 BLL Mod Blue Veggie BLL PatriotStingray mix veggie (On the 5 color for steel) BLL = Big lake lures made in Holland Michigan
SUPERTRAMP Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 All of them work but I particularly like Carmel Dolphin, NBK, Lemon Ice and Green Dolphin. But this time of year the plug bite is getting going, l like to run a green and chartreuse Silver Horde and a Pearl black ladder back Silver Horde, both produce a lot of big kings.
salmonslammer Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 My most consistent producing spoon for kings has been the dreamweaver magnum lemon ice followed by the green dolphin.
mj6131 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 My most consistent producing spoon for kings has been the dreamweaver magnum lemon ice followed by the green dolphin.Me too, with mod or killer blue dolphin right in there.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Stinger lemon ice, craigs x-mas and carmel dolphin....hard to pick one from those three
killerbe20 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Super Slim Cheap Sunglasses with a strip of green glow tape added. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/1/7/5/0/2010-10-08_00002.jpg' alt='2010-10-08_00002.jpg'>
Adam Bomb Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 So far a pretty similar pattern developing!!!
Lone Star Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Blue dolphin, blue alwife for non glo - Happy meal has been hot all day this year on the riggers
Priority1 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Kavorkian SS deep. Yellow Tail SS. I also like the glow yellow tail.
tangled mess Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 silver streak mag or mini super screw or mag green muffin (moldy muffin)
miltcop Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Warrior: modified blue dolphin in a standard size.
Just Hook'n Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Craigs X-mas for me too. And for some reason (only on my boat) Nuclear Waste.
Fake Bait Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Stinger Blue Dolphin. It goes on the port rigger everytime. First in last out. 9 trips out of 10 it catches a fish. Even when the entire set is changed over to Moonshines the Stinger Blue Dolphin stays in the water.
Eyefull Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 My favorite is always the one that caught the last fish:lol: Having said that, I always seem to not be able to resist puting out the Silver Streak Mixed Veggies.
adrenalin Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Stinger blue dolphin and orange killer are the most consistant for putting fish in the boat regardless of size.
fishsniffer Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 This year it has been the silver streak panty Ho. Any size
