Billy V Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 What a great day! Chrome and Kings all over the place. We found a TON of marks and bait out in 200-240 FOW West of the chute a bit. Good temps down 90-100'. Steelies were taking the Northern King Orange NBK fished as a free slider on rigggers down 65' and 70'. JV Cheerleaders on wire out 300' produced Kings, as did the Hammer Time rig and a white pro-chip/ glow NK fly fished off of the riggers down 90 and 100'. Every set we had down produced fish. I think we ended the day 16 for 23. Most of the kings were fresh and silver, and all of the steelies were gorgeous. Funny thing is, most of the boats were working the inside water, and we heard lots of talk about slow fishing. If I was going out again tomorrow, I'd head straight back to that 200-240 range and work those fish again. Probably the best picture on the FF I've seen all fall. If you can swing it, I'd get up to the lake on Sunday. There are LOTS of fish to be had for those willing to head off shore a bit. Lots of 2 and 3 year old Kings out there too...nice and silver!! Bill
