BlueCollarOutdoors Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I have done the snapweight trick and it worked fine. This was on my deepest rigger and I only had 140 feet of cable and fish were deep nad I was deep, I added a 4 oz snapweight 50 feet from the spoon then let out another 50 feet or so. so maybe I got an extra 20 feet deep, it got me in the zone. Gotta tighten up your releases though or it doesnt take much to pull it out with the extra pull from the weight. Copper would work the same, but again, more expensive, 2 colors of lead on the deeper rigger with a moonshine spoon has taken 3 of my last 7 bites since I put it back into play. All big fish too. Meanwhile the 11 inch flasher next to it is 50/50 on big kings and shakers, not sure why they run at that big flasher.
