LTH Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Fishing was tough to say the least today. Started out fishing the catfish hole then made a move to 20' and picked up a couple there. Made another move to shallower water, 12', and picked up the rest. Fourth fish of the day came with some jewelry in its jaw:D. First time I ever seen, let alone caught, a tagged fish.Ran all meat today on BB's. Purple and purple/pink took the majority of fish traveling around 1.2-1.5 on the G.P.S. Hoping to make one more trip to the bay before switching to the West side for some Chrome:grin:I would post a pic but seems I am not allowed to yet.
I_Catch_Her Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I fished 8 hours yesterday for one 18" eye, so I salute you.We started on the pencil buoys, marked fish but no luck, so we moved over to the black hole. Ran it once with mostly meat and one hotntot. Was gonna give it up until caught the keeper on the northeast corner just off the hole on the hotntot. Swung down and ran it again with cranks, still nothin. Thought about headin to the shallow water, but with the heat went for the deeper stuff north of the spark plug but still struck out. Like you tried different speeds, colors, depths, cranks . . . tough day. Waves picked up and made the trip home slow. Nice sunset.

If you get a chance go to the welcome forum and introduce yourself. You will like it here. I fish the bay mostly out of AuGres.
