Temp... is about 25 percent of the mix.

Rain, Moon, air, currents, or BIG winds have a huge part in it as well.

If the water drops below 70 with a rain fish will move up. What you need to watch is for the kings to stage in 70 FOW or less for a week and then have one of the events listed above.

If this does not happen the fish are going to trickle in like they have for the last 3 years. This makes fishing for them very hard.

We had some of our best pier fishing in 30 MPH winds the past few years when the piers had 0 preasure from fishing.

Fishing at night always seems to produce the best for us. 1 am to 3 am in front of big harbors;)

Who goes fishing that early, I mean come on ;) And like Dave said, the river fishing the past few years has been really tough is no strong run, but hopefully this year is different :rolleyes:

50 degrees, noon is my favorite time to fish the harbor, in manistee you can almost bet there is a few kings in there all the time with the little man haveing the onnly run of kings

I try to find a good temp break with a temp around 50 degrees and try to consentrate around that area seems to produce most of my fish
