Roy hobbs Posted July 19, 2011 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Hello all, been reading the forum for a few weeks now, and needed to join. I am thinking about heading out of Linwood tomorrow, early. Don't feel like running all the way out to 1 and 2 in my boat (older 17ft, no bimini top) Was thinking of heading north of the cigar, and then working south and then heading over to Spark Plug, 18-22 fow. Was planning on running crawlers with bottom bouncers. Also have the cranks to run if I need too. Have been out 3 times with father-in-law and limits each time, with crawlers (3 different places) but made long runs. Taking a buddy out and any and all advice would be great. Like I said all of you guys really seem to know what you are talking about, and I would love to get out there and be more confident in my own gear. Thanks again... kyote Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 I was out yesterday just east of the black hole, we trolled to pinny bar and back. pick up 8 2short of 2 man limit in 4 hours. you will probably will get some where you plan on going, but is sounds like the best bet would be run north. good catches are coming from just south of the point in 18-22 fowbut any day is a good day on the water.
