crewsout Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 i have a 8 ft dingy with 2 rodholders on the back and was wondering the most effective set up for rods off the back of it for in front of the pier heads for skamania or kings.... dont have a rigger but have divers, bigjohn divers, droper weights, and an assortment of other weights... any suggestions?
Fake Bait Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 2 divers as long as you have them. Can target the depth you want and not too much line out for around the pier heads. Tough to combat fish with leadcore.
SUPERTRAMP Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Use the divers it is realy your only option. I would suggest staying in the river with such a small rig. The pier heads can be the roughest spot on the lake because of current hitting calm water and boat wakes.
TIM61 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I would run couple magnum dipseys and that will keep you busy if your timing is right on the staging of the kings, you will catchplenty off two rods.
Far Beyond Driven Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Two deep crank baits on flat lines will keep you busy too. South Haven's a nice port to fish in a really small boat; I feel like a barge trolling in there with my 14'.
