I'm a new user to the site. Looks like a grrr-eat place to learn / share. Two of my sons and I hope to hit Saugatuk port by 6AM tomorrow (July 10). Any advice for some out-of-practice fishermen?

fow?

depth?

color?

trolling direction?

Any advice much appreciated. THANK YOU!

North Troll worked for me 2.9- 3.3

Sounded like people did better between 125-175.

We went 5 for 6 this morning out of Holland

200-238 fOW

Lemon Ice Mag

Mongolian Beef Moonshine

Blue Bubble Protroll/Goat Pecker Big Weenie fly (green/gold)

Blue Chilly Willy

Big Lake Lures Mod Blue Veggie (UV)

Like dave said, sounds like there were some bigger fish in shallower, but they shut off pretty early from what I understand.

Good Luck out there,

Ben

Last night I went out of Saugatuck. Fished south of piers from 140-150 and went 6 for 6. Two lakers and 4 kings. Biggest king was 15 lbs. Riggers 50 and 60 down with green UV Silverstreak spoon and Moonshine with only an eye worked. Dipsies got no hits and we got a few on 200 and 300 copper with Moonshine Mongolian Beef and Moonshine Yellow Submarine.

Fish came on north and south troll.

If you can be on the water fishing by 6am, go strait out, set up in 120 fow, troll south, and put all your glow lures down 50-70'
