salmonslammer Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Due to a late evening bass fishing trip Friday night we got a very late start this morning. We came out of the piers at 8:30 and was going to run out to 100 foot to set up but we saw a boat in close with a steelhead on so we decided to set up in shallow. We had four rods in the water when a dipsy with a green spin doctor and green fly took off. We netted an 8 pound sheephead. It was the biggest one I had ever seen. It came in 35 feet of water. Fifteen minutes later we got a steelhead on a red thin fin behind a board. We worked 20 feet to 50 feet of water until noon and had no more releases. Not hearing much action for perch we came in.Have a great day on the water!!!
Priority1 Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Thanks for the report out of the Joe. GJ on the Steel and the farm animal. Maybe a lil too early for the perch.
