2UNREEL Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Bolted outta work, met the wife and kids at the boat. Fished from 7 to 9:30. 110-125fow sw troll worked the best. Took a nice king on a wire diver 135 back with a Oil Slick Mikes Eyefly. I put the skirt on backwards to give a little extra flare for grins. Took 5 min for the king to hit. 10min later I bumped up the speed to around 3.5sog and steelhead smaked the other wire with a eyefly green aelwive. I have to say I am impressed with the hook set on the Eyeflies, I havent had one bump and run yet. Rest of the night a Laker came on a silver streak green huckleberry down 80. Then the sundown was kicking in and I was hoping for everything to go and only to a smaller king on a 5 color with a NK Pink/Orange/Green tape. Where is the sundown bite?? I haven't been good with that this year???
newmanstaa Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I was out there tonight as well, went 5 for 6 in the same depth. Two 5lb lakers and 3 kings all over 13lbs. Biggest being being 17 lbs. Great evening on the water.
tltorrice Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Very good Andy. Nice that you can get out on the lake after work. Sometimes I wish I lived closer. We will be in Manistee this weekend.
