TIM61 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Well went out of au gres sunday afternoon, not to bad out therecompared to last two trips at linwood, anyways we fished offpt au gres and south of island and managed to catch alot of fishproblem was all the walleye we caught we're not legal size, we did take home couple legal filets but man if we could have kept the fish we caught we would have surpassed a 3 man limit easy.Oh well. We''l try it again soon. 30-35 fow was best.
Priority1 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Tim, Thanks for the report and gj on the eyes. Every time I boat a undersized walleye I gently unhook and release them and say see ya later. Our future is bright. Gotta Luv Dat Bay.
kitchen Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I think all the keepers are on my side of the bay, i havent heard many good reports coming from the west side since early in may.
Priority1 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I think all the keepers are on my side of the bay, i havent heard many good reports coming from the west side since early in may. That just isn't so. LOL Keep up the good work on the East side. Large numbers of keepers are coming from all over the bay right now. I wish I could be out there hammering them now. I was only able to make a few trips so far and punching 4 man limits was not much of a problem.
kitchen Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Thats great, whack em an stack em. Some friends of mine are doing really good way north around big charity island right now. I usually dont leave the bay and head to the charities till the middle of july.
Priority1 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I don't make any long runs either when I can catch limits within a few miles of the port. The Charities are an option when the water starts to boil.
kitchen Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Ya ive caught some of the biggest walleye of my life around the steples off big charity. We usually average constant 5 to 7 pounders, with a few 8 to 10 pounders mixed in, not many smalleye up there.
