Moby Dick Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Went out of the St Joe river today. Since 1975, this was the most amount of boat damaging logs and other debris I've ever seen. Many of these are staying in the river trash line. Please use extreme caution. Oh by the way....couldn't get out to the good fishing. At 0830, waves were about 4 feet in 50 feet of water. Trolled around behind the south pier and tried for some browns but it was probably too late in the day. With all of our lines rigged, we headed out and turned around when it got to rough around 50 feet. I guess my buddy and myself have turned into wimps.....20 years ago it would have been full speed ahead.
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Good one, but just don't confuse being a wimp for cautious safety first in mind. With age comes wisdom and better judgement.
EdB Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Fishing is supposed to be fun, it's no fun when waves get to the 4 ft range or bigger.
