jimcr Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Well never 2nd guess your self just like Russ said. I second guessed the weather, they were calling for east winds and 1-2 foot waves and I had enough getting beat up the last 2 weeks. Wow was I wrong, went out very late, 830 am . Foggy but flat calm.Headed out to 35 ft set lines didn't mark one fish, stayed on an east course till we hit 50 and pulled lines . moved out to 90 and headed east pulling 6 lines. Marked some fish went to reset the rigger rod with the probe and couldn't get the rod to pop, so I bring up the rigger a little at a time and reel line up until it pops off. Hey there is still weight to this whats up with that ? A 12 lb laker is what it turned out to be . Had one drive by on the boards but marked many fish out deep. With some luck they will still be there in the morning.
KJ pluggin Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Nice job on the laker Jim, good to hear you got a decent day on the water.
