Grant Sadler Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 We was at the restrant this morning and got talking about Suckers, and one of the guys said where do they come from? you never see them till spring and there they are in the streams and rivers, I was thinking they must stay out deep till its time, but I don't know! I said I'll ask the experts on here someone will have the answer. I hope this is not a stupid Qustion, Thanks.

Killin' It Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Big carp are the same way, they roam around Lake Michigan then come in to spawn and then are never to be seen again till the next year.
Nailer Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Suckers really love the rivers. My best time with suckers. was driving over them on a rock bottom river on Drummond Island, back before I got married:D

If suckers were open to fishing up there it would be a massacre. They all stack up at the dam down stream from first lake. There are so many there this time of year you could walk across the river without getting wet!
