sjk984 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I am changing my copper rigs to swivals instaed of albright nots. What is a haywire twist? And how many times do I twist it?Steve
fishsniffer Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 You literally just wrap the copper over itself away from theswivel several times. I usually go about an inch and then put heat shrink tube over it.of course let it cool before putting the mono on
tgafish Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Steve I just did mine last week. If you can wait until we meet up next week I have a bunch of extra swivels and shrinktube and I'll show you how to twist it up. Pretty simple. Hardest thing is finding the swivels and the right size shrink tube:yes:
killerbe20 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I try to do my haywire twist so the copper unravels. Makes for a lower profile and the to copper pieces almost fuse together. I do not see a need for shrink tubing because the ends are nearly flush with the other stands. I have been computer less for nearly a month so can not post any pics right now.
