its an addiction Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I was kinda thinking some of you guys were crazy for having 20+ set ups on the boat, and then I realized you probably fish 9 or 12 lines, while I'm on a 16 footer and only fish six lines. I have;2 mono rigger 2 braid dipseys1-2color1-3color1-5color1-7color1-10color1-300' 45 copper I use dive bombs on the different lengths of leadcore if need be to reach a certain depth.

Line Dancin Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Tekota 800 or CV 55. If you go with a CV 55 have to use braided backing so it will fit onA cv55 has more spool capacity than the tekota 800. either way you will have to use braid for backer.
j1musser Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 All my coppers are in 45#.400' 300' 250' 200' 1 wire and 2 braided. I fish with Randy 95% of the time. Was usually out of my small 16' but now a bigger 17'. Last year on a salmon /perch trip i think i counted 22 rods 5 rigger rods 1,2, 3,5 ,6,7,9 color core reels(Some get upgraded after ho season) 100,150,200,250,300 copper 45# 2- 1000' wire divers They look like this 19 reels- Zero Teks, I can't afford that!!!!
killerbe20 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I have up to 400 feet 45lb on 55 okumas with mono backing.
Line Dancin Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I have up to 400 feet 45lb on 55 okumas with mono backing.I just like the security of having more backing. That is why i said that. It can be done with mono. but i get almost twices as much backer on the reel with PP.

twohand Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Just wondering? Why are you guys running 1000ft of wire? You can save some dime if you use a dacron backer and 600ft of wire. We routinely run our wires at 250-350ft back and have never had an issue getting to the backing knot. Now on lake O that might be a different story.
killerbe20 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 i could save some dime if i didn't drink as much beer too!
