How many reels

Just curious as to how many reels everyone carries on their boat- with copper and wire---in other words copper ,one at 150ft one at 300ft etc...

I carry two wire line dipsy @ 1000 feet each. No copper.

Coppers 2-600 2-450 2-400 2 350 4-300 2-250 4-225 4 200 2-175 2-150 4-100 and 4-50

wire 2-1000' that was all on a 21' boat until this year

I added a bunch of coppers this year. 2 of each 100, 150, 200, 250, 300.

I will be adding a 400 and 450 later this year.

No wire dipsey just braids.

Don't laugh. I only carry 1- 10 color lead and 3- 20 lb. mono rods. I like to keep it simple.

Sorry, I thought this was only long lines, also 4 rigger rods both 15 lb line , 2 wire divers with 1000 ft each ,2 braid divers 2 mono divers and 4 high lines. "total 36" not all on the boat at the same time.

hey dont feel left out. i dont have any wire, copper, or lead core. i guess im just not that serous about fishing. i fish strictly for fun. dont laugh to hard those 15 lb braid with small divers get alot of steelhead and some nice eyes.

8 braid divers

6 15 lb braid small diver for boards or outrigger

4 17 lb floro downrigger

6 spares for divers or downriggers

total 24 thats it guys

What is a good reel for a 400 copper?

Tekota 800 or CV 55. If you go with a CV 55 have to use braided backing so it will fit on

[Pioneer]

A 553LS is your best bet. 53" a crank, best out there.
