sjk984 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Has any one seen 500' spools of 32lbs for sale. I am rigging 2 more copper rods and don't need 1000. It would just sit around like the rest of the extra line I have stock piled in my garage. I want to set up a 300 and a 200 to go along with my 300(45lbs) and 150 (45lbs)
fishsniffer Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 As car as I know the smallest spool is 1000 ft. But it sure is nice to have that extra there after a good tangle up or breakoff
Nailer Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I think some of the retailer sell it by the foot? Call the Outdoorsman in Jenison.
Adam Bomb Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Heres a link to their FAQ page on purchasine shorter segments of Copperhttp://www.coppertrollingwire.com/frequently-asked-questions/Also, maybe see if a friend may want to split a 1000' with you or as Don suggested, its nice to have extra.
DIRTY DOG Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Ken is correct, most of the retailers that carry it sell it by the foot. You just need to bring your reel in to get it filled.
Eyefull Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 If I could get out in the shop and off the lazy boy, I would help you out by the foot. Like others have said, I would think that most full service tackle shops would spool you up by the foot.
Nailer Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 buy the 1000 ft u will need it I agree with Nick. I have 2-1,000' spools of 32# split up on 8 reels Both of the 1,000' spools I got from Blood Run had 1,100'+- on them. I' not sure if this is the norm, or I just got lucky.
Legacy Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 i would contact them directly and see what they can do for you. http://www.coppertrollingwire.com/contact-us/
