UBDSLO1 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Got the first trip in for this year, DO NOT launch at Lee Point, unless you have a really small boat. First of all, the dock is not in. Second of all, the state needs to dredge!!! Good thing I brought the waders, plus it was like quicksand bottom. I had the Merc tilted all the way up as far as possible for water inlet, and still touched the bottom! Eagle read 1.5ft! It was a ways out there before you could put the motor down. No way a bigger boat coulds launch there. Now on to the report. No fish, fished 8-25 ft. around the island. Wind picked up and headed back to port. 6 TX-12's, pulling Storm thin fins, Rapalas, Rouges, and Rebels. Gorgeous day to be out. The best part? I told the wife to dress warm, on the water temp and land temp are 2 totally different things. I told her this 3 times. Her reply? "I don't care, I'll be warm enough." Ok... By the end of the trip she had on my duck gear, nuff said !!!
KJ pluggin Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I bet she will take along some worm cloths next trip! Thanks for the report Noah.
