Bullshark Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Is anyone familiar with the fishing in the Monroe Area? I know there's a state park(Sterling) which people fish out of but I don't know how good the fishing is compared to other areas in the Down River Region. I don't have a boat, so I'm primarily looking for good shore fishing spots. Any insight would be much appreciated.Dave
melsell Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 A lot of people fish off of the Bolles harbor pier also. I never see them catching much but they must sometimes. Wish I was more help.
its an addiction Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Not familiar at all, but you could fish the maumee river. I know it can be hectic but if you are close enough to catch it on a weeknight it might not be too crowded.

You could give trenton lighthouse tackle shop a call and maybe they can give you a little more info. They are the walleye store in that are and have all the info on em.
