Nailer Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Franks has the best price I found in retail, but Tony is a good choice also.

jay d Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 i did a lot of searching and tony beat all of them:thumb:
Paulywood Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Coldwater Tackle would be another option also if Tony can't help you.
adrenalin Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I've always been under the impression shimano sets the price on their takotas the same for everyone. I've bought them all over and always payed the same exact price. Boater Barn has the 700's for $168 looks like the cheapest. http://www.boaterbarn.com/Shimano_TEKOTA_TEK700_SALTWATER_Casting_Reel.htm
jay d Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 they set the lowest advertised price,if you look you will find guys willing to deal on just about everything these days.
BenLubbs Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I'm not sure if he still has them but when I talked to Tony at the ultimate sport show last weekend he still hadn't sold the takotas he had and he was offering them for $320 for the pair with copper and backing.
Eyefull Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 The two at the show are sold and gone. Shimano does set the MSRP pricing and you are not able to advertise a price lower than that. You can do things in house to get the price down. In store coupons, combo deals, line deals, etc... are ways to lower the end price of the reel.
