sslopok Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 One of my best memories fishing on Lake Huron when I was a kid was our boat catching a huge catfish. We were fishing out of Harrisville around 1988 and hooked into a monster cat in 120ish fow. I remember how crazy it was in the boat and I was the billy club man. It was so big that when in the big slamon cooler its head and tail were hanging out on each side of the cooler. I think it was by far the biggest fish I saw boated. Let's see some of the cats you've boated from the great lakes.
mj6131 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Don't have a picture, but I caught a 5-6 pounder last year. Not huge, but I caught it on a perch rig in about 45 fow. It was a fun fight.
flyman013 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Here is one of the biggest catfish my grandpa caught in Lake Huron. This one was caught while shore fishing sometime in the 1980's when I was a wee lad. This one was well over 10 lbs. and caught at Jenks Park in Port Austin (before it became so shallow and rocky).
tgafish Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 No picture but I caught an 8lber back in 2004 in 140 fow 60 feet down out of Muskegon.
