Flymaker Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 That is awesome!! How deep of water were you fishing? The deepest part of the whole area is about 12-15'Riggers= 7-8' down 20-25' backDipsey's= 10-15' on counterYellow Birds= 25-35' + 5/8oz keel
Treblemaker Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 The deepest part of the whole area is about 12-15'Riggers= 7-8' down 20-25' backDipsey's= 10-15' on counterYellow Birds= 25-35' + 5/8oz keelOnce you troll past the discharge it gets plenty deeper from the shipping channel and back to the lighthouse. The general troll for this water is counterclockwise and you do not want to troll against the grain. Used to catch nice browns, steelhead and kings in the deeper water from the channel to the light once the water warms a bit more.
Treblemaker Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 BTW thanks for getting the juices flowing and nice catch!

Your right about Gary light though it gets much deeper away from the discharge and can be a real good spot when the water clears up unless your casting the discharge for Brown's and Coho's and then it doesn't matter there always something willing to bite there.
Just Hook'n Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 SWEEEEEEET. That will get us all excited and get our boats in the water soon.
steeliebob Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Nice silver ones. Good job guys. I will be on the ice for probably 2 weeks to a month before I can even consider the open water. If you like the hard water come on up.
