Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Well..................that's not a hard answer. When G.W.Bush was in office not too long ago, and I wasn't a big fan of his either, a moratorium on offshore drilling got lifted within 11 days of the Mideast Oil Cartell trying to raise oil prices/our gas prices over $4/gallon. And it worked, our gas prices soon decreased drastically below $2.50/gal.. The same could work again, but this leader, President, doesn't learn from History, nor anything else. He's a shallow impression of a true leader, and only cares about environuts, polls, and votes. Sad. P.S. We probably have so many untapped reserves, new fields, and old stockpiles, that we could probably reduce the price of gas to under $1/gal., if we really and truly wanted to. P.S.S. Look at our stockpiles of automobiles on the road right now, is there more diesel/gas vehicles, electrics, or steam engines in production, we need to fulfill the current needs, not wants and future desires. The future is just that, not the present.
