Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I heard this rumor 2 years ago too, and told our local CO's that I was totally against any such cuts. It took quite a few years of experimentation to get the lamprey program perfected. It now works very well, at least in Lk. Michigan. We rarely see any on the fish now. We used to see them all the time 20 years ago, and they were a nasty thing to attach to the fish. I wish they would consider and insist on cutting other programs that do not work, are waste, and keep the successful one here. But, that's government for you, always trying to perfect that which is waste and cut the good programs. Never in the private sector.
