Hotdog71
Many years ago, I was asked by a friend down down the road, to drive a boat boat him and his friends. Of course, at the age of 14, I was all over that. It was a 30 ft Rinker, and it had this cabled remote for steering. I don't remember exactly how it attached to the steering wheel. I remember that it was easily clamped on the wheel and easily taken off again. I remember walking to the back help with a fish and still being able to steer with this setup. It seemed like a reliable system but I know most have gone to a wireless remote. My question- do they still make this type of remote steering and if they do who makes it? I would ask my friend, but he moved to Florida 15 yrs ago and died 7 yrs ago. I know this is a shot in the dark, but here hoping.
