News Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 This year, 10 U.S.-flagged ships are berthed in Duluth-Superior, and the oft-repeated estimate is that $800,000 to $1million is spent on repairs and maintenance on each vessel during the off-season. Double or triple that to get the total economic impact on the local economy, said Jim Sharrow, facilities manager for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority.More...
