Eyefull Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Kind of a blooper clip here. This fish was coming in very nice, just like a water skiing walleye. Then Newtons law kicked in and the fish dug its head and threw the hooks back at me.8HLmszpB7q4
steeliebob Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Been there, done that. I wish that I had a video last sumer a guy on my boat lands a nice 8 lb salmon. As he is unhooking the fish he gets hooked and the next thing that happens is the fish the slider and the other spoon all go overboard. As the fish hits the water the line cuts on the side of the boat and all is lost.
KJ pluggin Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 It's always frustrating when that happens Tony. I think most guys would be a bit hesitant of posting a blooper video, thanks for sharing.
Eyefull Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 I laugh at myself more than others do:lol: Heck I provide myself with a steady stream of circus acts.
DIRTY DOG Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Bloopers are all part of the game , and another way to look at it is you got the best part out of it , THE FIGHT.
Priority1 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Steelies are know for their ability to get off and they will.Personally I don't like rods pointing high encouraging a fish to come to the surface out of nets reach. To me it's a big disadvantage bringing a fish up the chute with rods skyward. Most probably do it that way. Fish are made to swim so I like them beneath the surface until they see my ugly face and the net.
Eyefull Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 One of the things on my to do list for this next year is to put together a full bloopers video, just like my other annual collection. Should be a good watch and a laugh to boot.
Priority1 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Tony, If we filmed all our worst fishing moments and bloopers, we could probably sell movie rights.
Eyefull Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 It would at least make for a great thread?
Sea-Mac Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Cool vids Tony, ALL of em. Thanks for sharing. When and if I ever get my videos from Alaska transferred from vhs to my comp. i'll show you all what it looks like to take a 3/4 oz. pixie spoon to the chin and jugular.
DarkBlue Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I can't wait for summer, nice vid. Does the kid say what I think he says at 0:54? I'm not sure if I heard that right, but I was crackin up.
Eyefull Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 Probably, with that crew, there was always something jawdropping or funny being said
gordymohr Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I enjoy your videos.I see your from Frankenmuth.Passed through there a few years ago. Only place I know where the speakers at the gas station blast polka music while your filling up! He he!Good fishinGordy
jimcr Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 its only worse when the spoon comes flying back right at your head. (Duck)
