Sliders are dead- what's my issue?

I use these with good results, bought them at the Outdoorsman in Jenison for $5/6. I think I get better hook ups with them.

What's the easiest/best way to run a slider? I only run 4-5 rods at a time so I need extra "chances" where I can get them. Does the slider run on the main rigger rod? So there is one line on the rigger or what does the whole thing look like in the water? Any guidance is appreciated.

Guys, sorry for the duplicate post again. I didn't see the second page and thought my original post got lost in space somewhere.

Great diagram. Thanks. What about a fixed slider then? Regular slider seems pretty easy.

This is how I run a fixed slider. Hook it up in your yard if your dont get it and mess with it all hooked up just like it would be on the water. Make the the offshore release is just like in the diagram or it wont trip right away.
