The best deal out there is 20# Andy in the bulk. The last time I bought it, I got it from Boaters world. Try Googling it.

I use 20# clear Big Game, wait until spring when a shop has free shipping or a sale, etc..Ande is also a line everyone uses and has stood up to great lakes fishing really well.

PMan - suggest you go with a co-poly line such as P-Line rather than a straight mono. Costs a little more but will hold up much better.

I have been very happy with Ande. I buy it in bulk, either from Jay's or Cabela's if I am in the area. Saves on shipping. I use 15# for spoons and 20# for flashers. I have always used the green but don't know if it really matters.

have been using 26lb big game the last few years as it has been cheaper than Ande. We used to use ande over big game as ande used to be cheaper than big game. Both are great lines and you cant go wrong with either.

i bought a bulk spool of the pink ande 20lb last year..i was concerned about the pink rather than the clear but had a great deal and was reassured it would be good..after a full year on it i would buy it again..tested a piece that was on my rigger for a year and it broke at almost 23lbs..couldnt be happier..

I use 12-15lb. for Rigger rods. There is not a fish that swims in Lake Michigan that requires any heavier. ANDES Slate Blue Backcountry Mono. The best mono I have ever laid my hands on! :thumb: I am not a fan of the Big Game as it seems to get brittle faster than anything else.

20# Big Game for spoons, 30# for flashers. I would like to see someone try to stop a mature king in a harbor where you can spit in the boat next to you on 12#.

It's not that I don't baby fish, I run 8# leaders for browns and steelies in the rivers.

hehehe 6# and 4# in the river for this guy!!

FBD....

No fish from the boat this year in the harbor!!!

I used 20# Big game, going to run one rigger this year with 12 or 14 just to see if it gets more hits?

Ande is the stuff.

I put my rigger rods around my riggers and the stuff holds up (not on purpose mind you). The driver or net man typically take some crap when this happends.

We typically use 20 or 25lb test.

Dave i went from 15 to 20. Fish hit it the same with far less breakoffs.

I know someone that runs 30# on every thing and catches more fish than he needs to.

Harbor fishing sucked this year. My only two skunks were in between the piers, and that's over 34 trips from 3-13 to 12-4.....
