Sea-Mac Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I could try looking this up on the web but thought i'd ask here first and see if anyone knows, seeing as how I notice some of you know how to post videos. How do you go about getting VHS video onto a DVD?Also once I have a DVD of my video how do you go about getting it onto your computer? What is an estimated cost of getting this done?Where do I go/ What do I need?
Boltman Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 you can go anywhere and get a VHS to DVD recorder, I want to do this also... I have some VHS that isn't going to last so I want them on DVD soon, I think the machine is like 200.00 dollars.
Paulywood Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Mike there are companies that will do it for you. Probably look in the yellow pages or google it.
Priority1 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I think there is software that will allow you to do that on your PC with it's DVD burner.
tbromund Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Pinnacle's Dazzle DVD recorder.http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Dazzle/Dazzle+Video+Archiving/Dazzle+DVD+Recorder+Plus.htm50 bucks, it plugs into a USB port on your computer and attached to the VCR with red, yellow, white AV CablesI've had one for several years and have transferred quite a few VHS tapes to DVD with it. Of course, you need a DVD burner on your computer, but if you don't already have one, they are like 20 bucks at Tiger Direct.Tim
Sea-Mac Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 Have a DVD burner...$50 sounds doable. Thanks for info!
