Pioneer Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Kyle, I use a bead between the swivel and then suck it up tight when I use a "standard" wire rods with guides. One thing I do more then most people, I think anyway, is cut back the end of my wire. I do it every 2 or 3 days I will take off 2/3 feet or so. So it has never been an issue. I will say that I personally prefer rollers and the Aftco rollers (Shimano/Diawa) have never let me down, jumped a roller or cut into the side yet but the Jr's rods are very light and have what I think is a perfect action for a wire rod. Great price compared to a roller as well. If you could put a swivel tip like the Shimano on a JR'S rod for the same price I would be in heaven but I think that is too much to ask from Joel!
