JWheeler Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Hit the ice again today. Fishing was slow, had to really work for them. bounced around a lot today. on our way in for lunch, my buddy, found some blood. followed it, found a little doe at the end of it, someone possibly poaching. fatally wounded doe, gut shot.
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Sad story Jason, hope you reported this to the RAPP line.
diesel Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 hey how is it paoching when its late doe season?
JWheeler Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 hey how is it paoching when its late doe season?I believe it would be illegal to shoot this deer in the area that it was likely shot.
jimbobber Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Was it gun shot? it is also late archery season. Its to bad some one didn't do a good follow up job of tracking.
Adam Bomb Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Late doe season is on private ground only in appropriate DMU or on SGA that have a special antlerless season. You can use firearms in those instances, outside that i believe its archery equipment only with the use of the appropriate tags for either bucks or does. What became of the deer? Hopefully you were issued a tag and it was utilized.
Priority1 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I hope you called the DNR and maybe you or someone else can benefit from someones dastardly deed.
JWheeler Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 My buddy, who owns the house where we were fishing has made contact with the RAP line. Only time will tell. It's thought that whoever is responsible for this could be someone in the neighborhood. We'll see if anything comes of this.
