i use them in my spread. as well as mags and regular sizes. Steelies really like the oranges and reds. Some days they are more productive. In the spring i use them exclusively for cohos.

Majic man in benton harbor for cohos is one of my best producers.

I went down saugatuck to visit Aaron today... and walked away with one:)

I plan to add a few more to my spread before spring.

Picked up some other spoons and a meat rig as well.

Also picked up some larger spin glows for lakers.

How big is too big?

last season i ran A LOT of super slims. towards the end of the summer and into fall i ran them almost exclusively for my spoons. the kings loved them! my absolute hottest bait of the year was a Cheap Sunglasses Super Slim with a piece of glow tape on it.

We run more and more SS's every year. Great spoons! SO many colors worked well for us. Midnight special was good, green eye ghost, shiznit, Glow green alewife, and a bunch of others. An AMAZING steelie spoon, but the kings just tear them up also.

SS spoons are awesome.

I ran tham a lot and especially during those flat calm, high sun days. Running and gunning at fast trolling speeds making it seem as if the little meal was going to get away. It didn't most of the time.

I'm new to the game so take it for what it's worth but on those flat calm, high sun days I don't think it takes must to bring those kings in. During those conditiions I ran a wide stealth spread with all clean spoons, most of the time SS or normal size, and it seemed to be the less intrusive presentation that worked.

Troll them with 12lb line, small swivels and you'll see how well they catch.

Good luck.
