propman Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I am from Southern ILL.,retired, and going to try my luck at Salmon fishing. Most of my fishing has been walleye on LBDN, I will be docking my 20 ft. Cresrtliner sabra at Manistee next year, so if you all could give me any advice on Salmon fishig,I sure could use it.Also looking for a couple of guys to fish with and teach me the ropes. Look fowarrd to enjoying the Manistee area and meeting new people. Maybe someone could tell me when the season start and how it progress's in the summer and fall. Thanks to all, this is a great site. Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Hi Propman, A good place to start with information is the local Manistee Sportfishing Association, also the Ludington Area Charterboat Association. I know LACA has a website, Manistee probably does too. April-October is the prime season. Welcome, and good fishing.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Welcome to the ever so addictive behavior they call salmon fishing. Best of luck and thanks for the introduction:thumb:
