caznik Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Hello members,Well this is it, it will be our last and final event for 2006. The points leaders are very close, who will be the 2006 Lake michigan fishing champion this year. Will it be Sixshooter, Dirty Dog, or the Caznik. Team Catfishhoge is not out of it yet. All he has to do is do really good in this next event coming up Sept. 10th here at Muskegon. Teams Trout Tracker and Hunt4ever will have to do really good also to make #1. Well teams this is get getting very interresting now, so I hope that you can make this last event of the year. If anyone of you members like to join us this day give me a PM or sign up here and I will put you down. There will not be a pot luck this year due to there is another tournament that is right be hind us and we have to be out of there by 2pm. Maybe we can all get together another time and another place before October. If anyone has a clue where we could do this let me know please. caznik Posted August 17, 2006 Author Posted August 17, 2006 I am going to tell you now that there is a few rule changes that I have to let you know now before the next event.#1- You can bring in all your fish at the weigh in now if you like. But make sure if you are fishing with a crew of 4 fishermen that you only have a 3 man limt in your box. If you get caught with more in your box you will be DQ. The rule still stands that if you fish with a 4 man team that you must only catch a 3 man limit.#2- I been thinking about this after waking up today. If there is a tie for the points leaders for only 1st place. I will have to have a tie breaker for 1st place only. What I will do is, I will weigh in all your fish that who ever is tied for 1st place in the points lead only. So make sure you bring in all your fish this time at the weigh in. It is very close and this might happen this year. (3 man limit only)#3- You all know that we weigh in your big fish first. We been doing this all the time this year. There was a team at the last weigh in that he put his first fish on the scale and weighed it. Then after that he pulled out his second fish and noticed that it was bigger than his first fish weighed in. Well rules are rules and you cannot check fish at the scales. So make darn sure that you know whitch is your biggest fish before the weigh in. Also you cannot bring in your own scale from your boat and check your fish at the weighin. Check them while you are fishing and mark them before its your turn to weighin your big fish.#4- If you cannot make this event make sure you let me know before the event. If you are going to be late call me at Fishermens landing. My cell number is 1-269-908-0286. I leave the launch at 4:30am sharp. If you are late and cannot call me up. Call me or anyone eles so we all know that you made it out and you are in for sure. I will give you till 6:30am to do this. If you don't do this you will not be in the event. Event channel has allways been 72.Teams:1- Caznik2- Trout Tracker(W)3- Sarah C (W)4- Hollandpiper(W)5- Dirty Dog(W)6- Catfishhoge(W)7- Sixshooter(W)8- Oakley(W)9- Hunt4Ever (W)10- Karl.dykema(W)11- 12- thefishdog(W)13- jeepfan(W)14- Mr.Ed(W)15- Kcfishin(W)16- 30pounder(W)17- DV8oR(W)18- Minnow(W)19- Satisfaction_Gauranteed(W)20- Sea-Mac(W)(W)----Has allready signed waiver formCannot make it on the 10th of September;1- Marrble eyes
Dv8oR Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 If you are coming to this event via 46, there was an unusually long stretch of construction barrels set up all in the 2 lane stretch. There were signs saying starts tomorrow but no info on length and nothing on MDOT. This road was just rebuilt a couple of years ago and is a nice stretch of road. Not quite sure what they are doing here...... 5-10 mile stretch....... T
DIRTY DOG Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Is Any One Else Camping At Fishermans Landing This Saterday
caznik Posted September 6, 2006 Author Posted September 6, 2006 I will be there, but there may be a problem at Fishermans landing. I will make sure everyone knows it by later today if there is a problem.Rich
Catfishhoge Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 RichThe fog here has been way thick so far this week. I would expect it to stick around for the weekend too. With this in mind, I will most likely be launching from snug harbor to fish. I would rather not run the length of muskegon lake in pea soup at night. I will keep you posted on the conditions.Rick
Satisfaxion_Gauranteed Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 I will be camping at Fisherman's Landing this Saturday night.See you all there and good luck!
