Just Hook'n Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Sorry for the late post, but with hunting season I rarely get a chance to play on the site. Took my dads boat out in Pentwater (inner lake) on Friday. Heard a rumor they catch steel this time of year up there, so we figured it was going to be nearly 60 and what the hey, one last trip for the year. Well, action was AWESOME at first with the first fish coming into the boat 10 minutes into the trip. We thought, YA BABY, we know how to do this. 4 hours later, no more fishes. 1 for 1. But, it is always a pleasure getting out with my dad. The new boat fishes just fine. Other than my trying to test the water and my dad grabbing my foot to keep me from swiming, it was a riot.
steeliebob Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Hey no skunk in the boat. I do the same thing with salmon in the summer. I will go out at 5:00 in the evening set a downrigger. Before I can even think about setting the second rigger the pole is up and bouncing. Then you burn gas for three hours watching poles.
JWheeler Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 We thought' date=' YA BABY, we know how to do this. .[/quote']What is it? Murphy's law? LOL Good to get one, and good to have a nice day to fish
