jgaul Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Braved the chilly wind Sat. morning. Fished 7 am to about 11 am. Went 5 for 7. Three nice steelie's biggest being 8 1/2 pounds. 2 Lakers that were like footballs, all safely released. Fished 12-30 FOW north to PS, then back. Took most of the fish in 12-22 fow. Bloody nose off the rigger parked at 11 down, took the most fish! Missed 2 and got 3 on that rig! The only other rig that took fish was a gold thin fin on a high line. With all the water we covered we had 4 of our fish hit just off the state park!!! Should have just stayed there!! Gonna hold off winterizing now.... Don't know how many more times out, but hey it was a great day!!
JWheeler Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Sounds like you don't have to go far to get em'
GLF Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Great job Jeff! Some of the best fishing is now.
Hollandpiper Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Bummer. . . based on the reports from the week, we headed out to 115' and set-up. We were the only boat @ the PS launch. After being knocked around for a few hours and 2 of the crew being sick, we headed into the skinny water. Nothing going north of PS, so started heading back out. Had only a shaker on early that went back into the water. Fished from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Should have started skinny to the south!?!?!?
jgaul Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 yeah Alex, we were the only boat out of Holland. It was too windy for me to go out much... We pulled most of our steelies just off of spyglass and the state park. Bloody nose was HOT... couldn't believe the rigger went so many times!! Hopefully the wind will calm down some between now and mid Dec. to get back out there!
